July 27, 2005

Gosh has it been a month since I last dropped a note into this space. Hard to believe. I am glad some of you are using the blog to keep track of us still. I guess it is a useful way to do that.

So since June 25 our house sitters, Matt and Christen Buman, moved out, Tom went to Florida to do some cave diving with Terrence Tysall before he moves to Texas, we met our friends Jenny and Joe Oliviera's new daughter from China, we visited with our cousins the Reinholds in CT and helped Rich and Heather Nolan and family move house in DC. In addition to these activities we have both continued to work on the job seach and the reorganization of our house. Oh and we also shaved our cat Owl who was just looking too hot in the heat of July - what an experience that was. Also we have a great albeit brief visit from our first house sitters Peter and Laurel Greer who happened to stop by the very day that the Bumans drove down the driveway!

The 4th of July was fun, spending part of the day with Fred Parson and family over at the Country Club pool and then the balance of the day with our neighbours the Healys and Joe Londono, taking in our town fireworks at the end of the evening.

Pam has been having fun meeting old friends in the financial world as well as exploring new paths in the philanthropic world. So many different paths to take make it a bit confusing but I am confident that the right path will become clearer as I continue my journey.

Tom has been seeing some colleagues from his last job as well as talking to contacts and searching the web. He is exploring some new technology that he might want to work with.

Most of our activities now have focused on opportunities in Boston, but we are still considering moves to either Bermuda or Florida - we just haven't spent as much time on searching in those locations as it is a bit harder.

I don't think we'll be going anywhere too soon so if you are in the area, stop by if you can or just give a call.
