Sorry for the long lapse on the blog but we have been on the move. First from Maydena to Gowrie Park in Tasmania where we spent most of our time hiking at Cradle Mountain Park and then onto New Zealand where we are now. I come to you from a huge email center in Christchurch. We have been in NZ since Monday slowly getting our act together. Today we picked up a car and are ready to get on the road for 25 days of fun before we hope on the plane back to the US.
All continues to go well and we are having fun. There is just too much to do everywhere. Tasmania was great but we could have spent months there and still not seen it all! Amazing place.
So far NZ seems great. We stayed with some nice Servas hosts on the outskirts of town and we will move to another couple's house today for a couple of days and hope to get some hiking time in on the Banks peninsula. We went horseback riding yesterday - it was a lot of fun and a beautiful day. I rode Patch and Tom was on Angus. Both agreeable characters.
I don't have much time to fill in other details as of now but I'll try to hope on someplace else soon.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Pam
