Wow typing 2005 is kind of weird...well anyway greetings from Ko Lipe - you gotta come here....we are in a beach bungalow for $10 per night, we had a half a kilo of the best huge grilled shrimp last night for about $8! It is great and the people are nice too. It is a small island in the very south of Thailand and it was untouched by the tsunami. People should come here!

We left Phuket and our friend Katie Day a couple of days ago and took the bus to Pak Barra and then the next day took the boat out here - a beautiful 1.5 hour ride on a fast ferry boat. We plan to do some diving here - hopefully the visability will improve as it is still a bit stirred up. Tomorrow we are going to try a wreck dive and we will see.

We will probably stay here until Jan 12 and then head to Panang to catch our flight to Singapore on Jan 14. We could stay here for a lot longer but we will have to move on.....it feels like a deserted island in paradise but there is cell service and internet so we can be that far off the track....but no cars - just some honda motor bikes that that they ride on the beach and on dirt trails that cross the island to various resorts and one small village. Strange little place but we like it!
